Common Name  -  Lemonpeel Pygmy Angelfish

Scientific name  - Centropyge flavissima

Appearance  -  Bright yellow body with blue rings around eyes and edges of  gill plate, dorsal and anal fins. One to three inches in length.

Location  - Widely distributed within the western and south Pacific.

Comments  -  Very popular and attractive fish. It is best to select darker yellow specimens, and avoid ones with a small red sore on its side. As with all centropyge it will feed on flake foods but will do much better on a variety of small bite-size frozen foods, such as mysis shrimp. These fish enjoy having access to hiding places. Tanks with live or decorative corals and rock are great. Collected often in lagoon and shallow reef areas.  Position the rock openly so as to create many passages.
